Our mission when opening Georgia General was to stock enough shelf stable basics in store for neighbours to pop in and grab everything they needed to make a simple breakfast, lunch or dinner as well as offering some healthy and affordable snacks for people on the run in the neighbourhood. In addition to this we wanted to make sure that we offered high quality, delicious and interesting food options while also representing local talent and female-founded, queer and BIPOC owned businesses.

This has resulted in such exciting offerings as Spruce Tip Vinaigrette from celebrated vegan restaurant The Acorn (located just 15 minutes from the store), 8 kinds of dip mix, incredible (and very giftable) maple syrup from an Indigenous family business in Ontario and the best biscuit mix in North America from Bang Bang Pies in Chicago.
