This is a medium roast. Many people think espresso means dark roast coffee, but usually espresso beans are medium roast. The term espresso simply means the beans can be used in an espresso machine. For espresso drinks, it’s best to use a medium roast that still retains the oils inside the bean that you need when pulling a shot. This coffee is carefully crafted to be used in an espresso machine, but it can be used in any home brewing device. We here like it in a french press.
